Privacy Policy
The Quran Web3 Project operates as a non-profit, fully decentralized platform built natively on IPFS. Unlike traditional web applications that collect personal information to manage accounts and track engagement, our static, client-side architecture guarantees complete privacy and anonymity by design.
-
Decentralized Architecture (No Accounts)
We utilize a purely client-side architecture with zero tracking or central databases. You are not required to register, create an account, or provide an email address to access any feature on this platform. Your spiritual journey and study of the Quran remain completely private.
-
Local Storage Persistence
Instead of saving your information on centralized servers, your own device acts as your personal data center. All of your reading progress, personal notes, bookmarks, and UI preferences (such as selected translations or Tajweed color rules) remain strictly local. This data is saved using your browser's native storage and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
-
Data Portability & Ownership
Because your data is entirely in your hands, we provide built-in tools for you to manage and sync your data without relying on a centralized cloud service:
Export Data (Backup): You can download your entire reading state, notes, and preferences as a single .json file to safely back up your data offline.
Import Data (Restore): You can seamlessly restore your reading state on any new device or browser simply by uploading your saved .json backup file.
-
Information We DO NOT Collect
To highlight our privacy-first approach compared to traditional platforms, here is what we explicitly do not collect:
No Email Tracking: We do not collect emails, send newsletters, or use hidden tracking pixels and click-tracking technologies.
No Server Log Data: Because our platform runs on decentralized IPFS nodes rather than traditional web servers, we do not log, monitor, or store your IP address, browser type, device details, or page visit statistics.
No Third-Party Analytics: We do not use third-party tracking software (such as Google Analytics) to profile or trace individual users. We have no personal data to sell, trade, or rent.
-
Data Rights and Deletion
Traditional web services maintain complex, time-consuming procedures for data access, rectification, portability, and deletion requests because they hold your personal records hostage on their centralized systems. Because the Quran Web3 Project holds zero personal data, you are already in absolute control of your information:
To access or port your data: Simply use the built-in Export feature.
To delete your data: You only need to clear your browser's local storage or cache. Once cleared from your device, your data is permanently destroyed. Since we do not possess any copies on any server, the deletion is immediate and absolute.
-
Protection Against Malicious Trackers (Anti-Tampering)
Because our platform is open and decentralized via IPFS, third parties could technically clone our files. Unofficial clones might secretly inject tracking codes or cookies to monitor your behavior.
Automated Privacy Shield: To protect your privacy, our platform includes a client-side integrity script that continuously verifies you are using the official, untouched version of our code.
Safe Redirection: If the script detects that you are accessing a tampered clone (which may contain hidden trackers), it will immediately halt and redirect you to our secure, official deployment at
https://quran-web3.nft. This guarantees you are always browsing in a completely private environment.
-
Blockchain Interactions (Optional Contributions)
If you choose to visit our contribution section to make an optional cryptocurrency donation, please note that blockchain transactions are inherently public. They are permanently recorded on public ledgers and tied solely to your public wallet address. Our platform never links these public wallet addresses to any personal identity, real name, or physical location.
