  1. Acceptance of Terms & The Immutable Web (IPFS)

    By accessing the Quran Web3 Project, you acknowledge that you are interacting with a fully decentralized, static web application hosted on the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). Unlike traditional websites, this platform operates without central servers, databases, or central administration. By using this platform, you agree to these terms and the inherent nature of decentralized technologies.

  2. Immutability, Version Updates, and "As-Is" Provision

    The core characteristic of IPFS is immutability at the file level. The texts, translations, and audio files provided on this platform are deployed as permanent static snapshots.

    1. Immutable Snapshots & Domain Updates: Once a specific version (represented by a CID) is deployed to the IPFS network, that exact data snapshot cannot be edited, deleted, or altered. However, we can issue updates or correct typographical errors by uploading a completely new snapshot and updating our official Web3 domain to point to the new CID. Historical versions will remain permanently on the decentralized network exactly as they were initially deployed.

    2. As-Is Basis: The platform and all its contents are provided strictly on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Because updates require a full new deployment to the decentralized web, any corrections to data sourced from trusted providers (such as Quran.com and Everyayah.com) are not dynamic or instantaneous.

  3. Zero Centralized Control & Permanent Archiving

    Because the platform relies on peer-to-peer IPFS nodes globally, we do not operate a central server. While we retain the administrative ability to update our official domain to point to newer versions of the site, we physically lack the ability to take down, censor, or erase historical CIDs from the global network. We are not responsible for the continued hosting of these historical files, which relies entirely on the independent, distributed network of IPFS gateways and nodes.

  4. User Data Responsibility

    Our platform features a Decentralized Data Center where all your reading progress, notes, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device's local browser storage.

    1. We cannot recover your data if you clear your browser cache, change devices, or lose your device.

    2. You are solely responsible for using the built-in Export/Import (.json) features to safely back up and manage your own data.

  5. Voluntary Contributions

    The Quran Web3 Project is a strictly non-profit initiative. We do not require users to connect a cryptocurrency wallet to read, listen, or use the platform.

    1. If you choose to visit our "Contribute" page, you may voluntarily support the project and charitable causes through direct cryptocurrency transfers.

    2. Because these transactions occur directly on public blockchains, they are absolute and non-refundable. We do not control the blockchain networks and cannot reverse any transactions.

  6. IPFS CID Integrity & Anti-Tampering Protection

    Preserving the absolute purity of the Holy Quran and protecting our users from malicious modifications is our highest priority. Because our platform is a static web application distributed via IPFS, the underlying files (CID) can technically be downloaded, altered, and re-uploaded elsewhere by third parties.

    1. CID Content Verification: To safeguard the authenticity of the data, the platform includes an automated client-side integrity script that continuously verifies core platform identifiers, attributions, and official contribution addresses.

    2. Automatic Tamper-Proof Redirection: If the script detects that the static files have been tampered with, it will immediately halt execution and redirect the user back to the official, verified deployment at https://quran-web3.nft. This ensures you always access the genuine, uncorrupted version of our project.

  7. Limitation of Liability and Third-Party Intellectual Property

    We do not claim ownership of the translated works, interpretations (Tafsir), or audio recitations, which remain the intellectual property of their respective creators and institutions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Quran Web3 Project, its developers, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this immutable platform, the interpretation of its content, or any voluntary blockchain interactions.
